The Ending (Spoilers!) - Poll and Discussion - Grand Theft Auto V - Giant Bomb
For Grand Theft Auto V on the Xbox , a GameFAQs message board topic But, if you take too long to kill Trevor as Franklin in the other ending, . You're used to GTA's main protagonist being a-holes, but GTA V makes. #1 Posted by ShalashaskaUK ( posts) - 5 years, 2 months ago . I've come to accept that GTA games are just destined to have boring endings. Michael for no reason just makes zero sense in relation to his character. Point is, I realized I didn't hate Trevor for killing Johnny, I hated what Rockstar did to Johnny. GTA5 Ending is a pre-Ending Mission in IGN's Grand Theft Auto 5 He requests for Franklin to kill Michael in addition to the FIB wanting to kill.
Meltdown After Michael defends his family from a Merryweather attack sent by Weston for ruining his redevelopment plans for the Richards Majestic studio site as well as for causing the death of his legal counsel Molly SchultzLester Crest warns Michael that both Weston and Merryweather want him dead.
Michael tells Lester that they need to execute the Union Depository heist soon, lest any more heat come their way. After The Big Score Sometime after the Union Depository heist, Weston shows up at Franklin's house, telling Franklin that he wants Michael killed for ruining several of his business ventures.
Weston also tries to give Franklin personal motivation for killing Michael by saying that he betrayed everyone he has ever known and got Franklin involved with the FIB in the first place. Franklin retorts by stating that he has yet to be paid for stealing the supercars that Weston requested, and the FIB already wants him to kill Trevor; however, Weston says it doesn't matter, claiming that he has enough clout to end the careers of both Haines and Norton with just a phone call to their superiors.
After Weston leaves, Franklin has to make his decision.
Kill Trevor Main article: Before meeting with Trevor, Franklin calls Michael for his assistance. When Franklin and Trevor meet, Franklin makes his intentions known, and Trevor calls Franklin a traitor just like Michael. Franklin then gives chase to Trevor, eventually ending up at the oil fields, where Michael rams his car into Trevor's pickup, where it crashes into a gasoline tanker.
Franklin then shoots the spilling fuel, which ignites and burns Trevor to death.
So I hated Trevor (major endgame spoilers)
After killing Trevor, Michael and Franklin still remain friends; however, Michael will no longer hang out with Franklin, claiming that he "needs time" after Trevor's death. A, kill Franklin before he obeys Haines' orders.GTA 5 Trevor Kills Franklin Ending D
B, kill Michael and perhaps even Lester to earn their shares of the Big Score. An example of how each decision would turn out: It ends with Franklin distraught and gets killed by Haines in his attempt to protect Trevor.
The Ending (Spoilers!) - Poll and Discussion
Trevor chases after Haines and kills him, but spares Dave Norton, asking him instead to look after Michael in case Devin Weston or Merryweather seeks further actions against him. Dave Norton reveals him being the one who wrote the letters pretending to be Brad.
Trevor doesn't mind about it. It doesn't stop him from attacking Michael in front of his children.
Trevor gives up arguing after a while and leaves. Completely unsatisfied and unable to pull the deed to the end.

The player has a choice to simply leave the area or burn the mansion down with Michael and his family still in it. Regardless of either decisions Trevor bumps into Franklin on the road. The player then gets to choose which of the two character to play as to close the story off, either kill one another or walk away. Still a bad person mind you, but a worse character IMO. At one point I don't remember exactly when unfortunately, but I'm fairly sure it was early in the gameMichael mentions that the wrong person got killed 10 years ago.
At the time, you don't have the full information on what happened those 10 years ago, but on your second playthrough the meaning is quite obvious. Michael's denial that there was an arrangement prior to the heist is a lie.
It should've been Trevor who makes the final decision [Spoilers] - GTA V - GTAForums
He lies to just about everyone but Dave. It is directly mentioned in dialogue between him and Dave and in his flashback conversation with Amanda during the drive to Yankton that the heist was indeed a set-up from the start. This is also why during the heist at the very start when Trevor says "There'll be time for mourning later", Michael replies something along the lines of "You bet there will be".
